A delicious combination-who doesn't love an Italian sub combination.
1 12” Italian soft roll or ‘Hoagie’
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons vinegar (wine vinegar or balsamic)
2 slices provolone cheese (or fontina works well here)
1 ounce prosciutto
2 ounces finocchiona (fennel salami)
2 ounces soppressata
One ripe tomato, cored and sliced
Handful of arugula
Chopped pepperoncini-about 1 ounce
Heat up your panini grill according to manufacturer’s instructions. Cut roll open and brush outside of roll lightly with olive oil. Brush inside of roll with rest of olive oil and sprinkle the vinegar. Cut cheese slices in half and layer on bread. Add remaining ingredients in order listed. Cut in half. Put each half in the grill, together or one at a time, and heat for 3-4 minutes. Serve immediately.
